"FASHOENISTA OF MY HEART"

So we all find a comfort in something. For some it's a good meal, others a good cup of joe and those who share the passion with Carrie Bradshaw... WE LOVE SHOES!!!

This summer feel free to follow your instinct on fashion or your favorite celebrities pioneering efforts. Colors like coral, blues, yellows, metallic, lilac, rose, fuchsia, citron green are all perfect for the look. There's a different shade of all these colors for each event.
High heels and deals are in. Now don't get us wrong, there are a few pairs that are a lot more obtainable than others. But there is a pair for us all.
Metallic, animal print and patent is the name of the game. From Gucci's 'Iman' metallic heel at $1295 to Payless' Jordana Gladiator Platform Sandal at $39, you can most definitely make your statement this spring/summer at any cost.
Reptiles have found their way, both genuine and faux. Aldo has a great new look with their "Lacau". A beautiful multi-colored faux-reptile heel for $90. It's a no brainer! Or BCBG's "Runway Platform Heel", a genuine snake skin at $295. Take your pick!

We have also found a conscious route to the hottest shoes in the book, like the YSL Cage Boot. We found a similar shoe at BAKERS for $79.95. Or the BluMarine black studded high heel shoe that goes for $2150, which we found a beautiful downsize at BAKERS for $79.  And the fun doesn't stop there.
It is now time to pull out your MAD money and splurge on pedicures to make the perfect sandal just that... perfect. Here are some she trends you can follow this summer. The gladiator sandal is an excellent key item to have in your closet. Anna Sui has a really cute metallic gladiator sandal. As well as the beautiful 'Modern Vintage Fernanda' gladiator sandal we found at DSW for $129.
We hope you have as much fun as we did searching for your favorite (few) pairs this season. Let us know how it goes!!!

Happy Shopping!!!

In There Like Swimwear

May is swimsuit month. And with so many ways to stay cool this "Haute Summer", how does one know how to stay cool? "So where do I begin?" you ask. Well we've been keeping up to date with the hottest stuff from many of your favorite designers as well as affordable offers from "hott and not a lot" retailers in your local areas. So, here are a few suggestions as well as trends you should become acquainted with if you claim to be a fashionista or even the leader of your pack.

Fashion Week blessed us with so many choices. From the ever revealing Herve Leger to the pop culture Ed Hardy and more upscale label by the same designer Christian Audigier. Celebrities seem to agree with these anticipated summer trends.
Beyonce graced the cover of Los Angeles Confidential with an amazing Herve Leger swimsuit. Given the green light by Fashion Week onlookers, you cannot go wrong there.
Worn by Carrie Underwood,Christina Milian, Brittany Spears, Ashley Tisdale and Heidi Montage alike, Ed Hardy was listed one of the 15 must haves for the summer by OK Magazine.

We found a few great newbies at American Apparel. One that really caught our eye was the Nylon Tricot Hooded Swimsuit $48 (one-piece halter bathing suit with a sexy V-neck and deep hood, perfect for keeping the sun off your face). Target also offers a wide array affordable swimwear. And though they may cut back on prices they do not short change you on style. Ranging anywhere from the cutest Xhilirations "Monokinis" (one piece bathing suit bikinis) for $29.99 to Merona (shaper) Slimmer Rouched 1 piece for $39.99. And for those who would like to show off just a little more skin there have a wide array of bikinis starting at just $14.99.
Our fav being the "One Strap Monokini Black" going for $14.99, to shaper bathing suits and swimwear lounge wear ranging in price.. Target is a one stop shop 'til you drop.

DENIM IN DEMAND
This Spring and Summer denim has found it's way to keep us interested yet another year! As if it could ever leave our hearts. From Citizens of Humanity (Our favorite pair being "The Fallen Angel Broken White) to Top Shop (our favorite pair being "The Black Ripped Jean). Somewhat absent from high fashion since the 90's, the ripped jean has hit the runway and is in full effect thanks to celebrities like Rihanna, Kate Moss & Victoria Beckham... yet again!!! The "Boyfriend Jean" is also a quick fix for the denim fiend! There are shorts and skirts that have joined this game. Never missing a beat! Now don't be mistaken, you can do these all wrong. Your jeans can either look like they're suppose to or they can look like you borrowed them from your Grandfather and they have just really seen their days. Be fashion forward with your approach. They come in the infamous "Skinny", "Double Cuff", tapered, and baggy fit. There is definitely a make for you.

Now if these brands are not economically correct for your lifestyle, you can custom make your own by taking a pair of your own jeans, strategically place bleach stains, cut horizontally with either scissors or a razor and wash then dry them in the dryer until you are pleased with the out come.

Speaking of leggings...
It seems that Lame' has made a comeback with no plans on leaving the scene. Many have adopted this fabric for it's reflection of the lights while enjoying the night life. To others it seems to have a nostalgic effect on them subconsciously. You can always wear them along with a tunic. Maybe even a shirtdress. Team them up with flats and scarves you can pull it off in the a.m. Or grab your favorite heels and hit the town in the P.M.  Though they may seem a bit risque, it is definitely a fun look. We found an inexpensive route to achieving this look, American Apparel (AmericanApparel.net) has the affordable approach to this star studded must have. And for those who may want a different variety in fabrics like Mesh or Lacquer, maybe even a different length (as in capri or biker short), BeBe(BeBe.com) is your place. Either way, you can't lose.

FABRICS OF OUR LIVES
The expected heat of this summer has forced us to wear the "Bare" essentials. Skin is in, once again. This season's top designers have chosen the sheerest and lightest fabrics to drape our frames. Such as silks and cottons.
Not stopping at shirts, blouses and dresses. Pants have also come into play. The soft look of sheer fabrics creates a sexy apparel most of us are are fond of. Pair it up with your favorite pair of jeans or accessories and you can't go wrong. It definitely leaves us grateful, being that the sun is a force to be reckoned with.

Though cotton seems to be most comforting and commonly worn, we suggest that you get familiar if not already, with cotton cami's, thin knit tops, dresses and of course we all have our favorite leggings.
